Charges over hoon blitz

SIX people from Cranbourne North, Cranbourne South, Hampton Park and Langwarrin are among nine people charged on Friday 4 March over gang hooning.
They have been bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 11 May charged with conduct likely to cause serious injury and various hooning activities.
They were among 35 people who have been charged over the past month under Operation Regarder, with 21 vehicles seized as police conduct a blitz on hoon racing in the south-east and northern suburbs.
Dandenong Acting Inspector Michael Daly said on Friday afternoon that the latest charges against two people from Cranbourne North, two people from Hampton Park, and one person each from Cranbourne South, Lang Warren, Ferntree Gully, Somerville and Gladstone Park “shows our commitment to the fight against hoon driving”.
