Gloves on as kids come clean

IT’S time to clean up our act.
Last Friday 4 March students and staff from Heritage College in Narre Warren South arrived at school with gloves and plastic bags at the ready to participate in Clean Up Australia Day.
The students got to work cleaning up the surrounding wetlands as well as the footpaths and park next to their Centre Road campus.
Clean Up Australia Day took place last week but the community is being urged to get involved with the campaign any time during the year.
In the last 25 years Australians have devoted more than 27.2 million hours towards the environment through Clean Up Australia Day, and collected over 288,000 tonnes of rubbish.
