Service has its rewards

JUAN Carlos Loyola is a selfless server of his community.
To recognise this selflessness, the annual Juan Carlos Loyola OAM Award for Longstanding Community Service is once against being offered to someone in Casey.
The award, presented and sponsored by Narre Warren North MP Luke Donnellan, was named after Carlos following his 20-plus years of tireless service to the Doveton Special Soccer School.
“There are many people across Melbourne’s south-east who give so much back to their communities, clubs and associations, and that should be celebrated,” Mr Donnellan said.
“This award was created to help celebrate and thank the community spirit and hard work of long-term volunteers.”
The winner of the award will be chosen by a panel of local residents and active community members, including Juan Carlos Loyola and Patricia Clarke from Endeavour Hills.
Nominations are now open and close on Friday 8 April.
The winner will be announced in May.
Nominations forms can be ordered from Mr Donnellan’s office by contacting 9706 0566.
