NARRE Warren South MP Judith Graley has urged the government to help a local Berwick school.
In Parliament on Friday 22 March, Ms Graley raised the need for a new multi-purpose facility at Kambrya College, and asked Education Minister James Merlino to ensure funding was provided for the project in the upcoming state budget.
Mr Merlino visited the school along with Ms Graley late last year.
Ms Graley said the new two storey facility would replace existing portable classrooms and incorporate new classrooms and a multi-purpose room on the second storey.
The facility is also expected to be available for community use.
“Kambrya College is truly one of our most outstanding local schools and Principal Michael Muscat’s team continues to go above and beyond for all their students,” Ms Graley said.
“They are a growing school and to ensure they can continue to meet the needs of their students they are proposing to create this fantastic multipurpose facility.
“It will be a great addition to an already exemplary school that will provide significant benefits for their students and the local community.”
