Excavator taken in building site break-in

By GEORGIA WESTGARTH

THIEVES have made off with a $50,000 excavator from a Narre Warren North building site.
The Kubota excavator was stolen on Sunday 13 March after offenders cut through the chain and padlock to a gate and gained access to the residential building site, in Mirring Court.
The V25-3 super series excavator had been parked out of view behind a shipping container at the site.
Police think the excavator was possibly loaded onto a truck or trailer.
Police have released an image of the actual excavator, which has company signage printed on the arm of the machine, and are appealing for public assistance.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the Casey Crime Investigation Unit on 9705 3114.
