THE push to revitalise the area around Fountain Gate Shopping Centre is one step closer to becoming a reality.
On Tuesday, 5 April, Casey councillors are due to vote on a recommendation that proposes that the Fountain Gate-Narre Warren CBD Structure Plan be adopted.
Last September the council identified a need to ‘refresh’ the strategic planning for this area, for which planning consultancy firm Urbis was enlisted.
The final version of the CBD plan is now ready for adoption, according to the latest council report, and it encourages investment in the Fountain Gate area to support more jobs, housing and community services.
