Massive delays on Monash

By CAM LUCADOU-WELLS

MONASH Freeway motorists are being advised of massive delays due to a threatened self-harm incident at a Glen Iris footbridge.
Victoria Police say the area, which was closed off to freeway traffic shortly before 7am, will remain closed until the incident is resolved.
Aerial footage shows a female on the footbridge with a banner draped over the railing. Police and fire crews are at the scene.
The freeway is closed inbound at Warrigal Road, and outbound at Toorak Road.
A VicRoads spokeswoman said inbound traffic was banking back to Ferntree Gully Road.
She advised city-bound drivers to exit on Princes Highway – which also has heavy delays – and Eastlink, if possible.
