Beware on the Monash

By GEORGIA WESTGARTH

A 46-YEAR-OLD man is lucky to be alive after a rock was thrown at his moving car on the Monash Freeway.
The rock hit the car as he was driving inbound under the Prospect Hill footbridge in Narre Warren on Friday 20 May, about 8.15pm.
The driver was shaken but uninjured.
Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Darron Hedge said the criminal act could have caused a multi-vehicle crash.
“It could have killed the driver if it went through the windscreen or seriously injured him and others if the shock caused him to swerve,” Det Hedge said.
