SIX steadfast teams have raised more than $26,000 during a 24-hour multiple-sclerosis ‘mega swim’ at Casey RACE on 9 July.
Leading the pack in the MS Mega Swim were three teams from Nuna Youth Squad, which collectively raised at least $22,000, for their herculean efforts.
Nuna Youth had raised more than $91,000 in five previous MS swimathons.
Kate Nolan, of the Night Trawlers team, was the top individual who collected $1825 of pledged donations.
The best dressed award went to Morgan Kellett-Jackson, who dressed as a mermaid.
The funds raised in the national event will go to multiple-sclerosis research and support services.
