Cops hunt for vanishing vacuum thief

POLICE need help to track down a squeaky clean thief, who had had his eye on a vacuum and stole it.
Police have released an image of a man who stole a hand held stick vacuum cleaner from a Narre Warren entertainment retailer on Monday 13 June, about 10.25am.
The vacuum was still in its box when the offender left the store with it under his arm and a screwdriver in his other hand.
The vacuum was priced at $900.
After he declined help from the sales assistant, the alleged crook walked towards the front doors and was followed closely by the sales assistant.
Once at the front doors, the male produced a screwdriver and verbally threatened the sales assistant, before leaving the store.
The offender is described as 5’4” tall, Caucasian in appearance, and was wearing a navy-coloured hooded jumper with the brand name ‘ZOOYORK’ on the rear at the time of the robbery.
He was also wearing light-coloured trousers and black running shoes.
This is the second time police have appealed to the public to help find this man.
Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call the Casey Crime Investigation Unit on 9705 3114.
