A MAN was caught driving more than five times over the limit in Berwick.
Police were called to the Monash Freeway in Narre Warren on Saturday 6 August following reports of a Mercedes driving erratically in the area about 11.15am.
The 46-year-old Berwick man was intercepted by police in Melville Park Drive and arrested.
The man was taken to a police station where he returned a BAC of .283 per cent.
His licence was immediately suspended and his car impounded.
The man is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving and other traffic related offences.
