Man killed by house fire

AN ELDERLY man has died in a Noble Park North house fire overnight.
Emergency services were called in about 12.20am on Thursday after reports that a house was on fire in Ascot Drive.
Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control quickly and found an elderly man and woman inside the home.
They were brought out and paramedics treated the man outside but he died at the scene.
The elderly woman was taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined but a crime scene has been established and police are investigating.
