Rainbow colours were worn proudly on sleeves, shirts and faces at Berwick College on 25 August.
About 230 students coated their white T-shirts with a spectrum of cornflour-based paints during a “colour run and walk” at their inaugural LGBTIQ-awareness event.
At the Colour Your Perception day, the students were inspired by guest MC Jason Ball, a Greens candidate in the recent federal election.
Touted as the first openly-gay Aussie Rules footballer, Mr Ball spoke and posed for selfies during the celebration.
Student leadership co-ordinator Brodie Anderson said the aim was to encourage students to support each other in “being proud of who they are as individuals”.
The colour run around the school’s perimeter included “fun and engaging” challenges.
It culminated with dance, music and fanfare.
