Council funds crime-fighters

By Cam Lucadou-Wells

A COMMUNITY crime prevention forum in Berwick remains on track after a public liability insurance issue was resolved.
The Casey Residents Crime Prevention Gathering, expected to draw hundreds, has been rescued after Casey Council provided a grant to cover the extra insurance costs.
The event will feature home-security and self-defence experts on how to protect homes and loved ones.
It is on at Sweeney Reserve, Berwick, on Saturday 10 September at 2pm.
