Go for green screen

THE red carpet is about to roll out for some of Berwick Lodge Primary School students’ best work in front of the green screen.
The school’s annual film festival is at the Drum Theatre on 12 September – an hour of short films followed by The Lodgies award ceremony.
Students and staff are set to “dress to impress” in what is a modern reworking of the school concert night.
Digital technologies co-ordinator Rob Kelly said the event had become a “staple event” since 2010.
From scratch, Year 5 and 6 students wrote and planned their works. They created them on iPads and a newly-acquired film camera in the school’s studio.
The film festival is on at Drum Theatre, corner Lonsdale and Walker streets, Dandenong, on 12 September at 7pm.
Admission is adults $18 and under 15 children $12.
