Failed carjacking

A 28-YEAR-OLD man from Clyde North narrowly avoided a carjacking in Narre Warren on Saturday 24 September.
He was driving on Pound Road when he stopped at a red light at the intersection of the Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road.
While the man was stationary at the traffic lights, he was approached by another man armed with a metal pole running towards the car.
The man attempted to enter the victim’s car but he drove away before the would-be carjacker could get in.
The offender, described as about 20 years of age with curly fair hair, of short stature, and a medium build, was last seen running in a south-east direction from the intersection
