Treasure lives on

A SUPPORTER of Doveton Library has been crowned as the suburb’s ‘living treasure’ at Celebrate Doveton on 23 September.
The winner, Maria Harding, was nominated by members of Friends of Doveton Library.
She received a bed-and-breakfast for two prize with a dinner voucher.
Other winners were Lorenzo Ryan Aleke in the under-14 visual arts competition and his brother Tyreese who was runner-up in the under 14 story category.
The event staged by Doveton Neighbourhood Learning Centre includes henna and face painting, craft corner, gardening activities, historical photos, a Myuna Farm animal nursery, a Doveton Library event and a sausage sizzle.
