Many car break-ins

POLICE are seeking the public’s help in the investigation of a series of thefts from cars in Berwick on the night of Saturday 1 October and early morning of Sunday 2 October.
Thieves broke into and stole various items from several cars parked on the street at different locations around Berwick.
The cars were all found with the front passenger window smashed and items such as tools, iPads, and clothes missing.
Cars were broken into and stolen from on Quarry Hills Drive, Clyde Road and Bemersyde Drive among others.
Police believe the thefts occurred between 12am and 5am as witnesses heard noises outside their house at about 5am on Bellevue Drive.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen suspicious people or cars in the area or may have CCTV footage of the streets from that night to come forward to assist with the investigation.
