A HAMPTON Park couple was lucky to escape a house fire on Huntington Drive in the evening of Saturday 1 October.
The fire is believed to have been started shortly after 5.30pm by a fault in an electric blanket and is not being treated as suspicious.
The two occupants of the house, a 71-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman, were treated for minor smoke inhalation.
The fire caused structural damage to a bedroom in the back of the property.
