Teen charged over fatal crash

A 15-YEAR-OLD Narre Warren South boy will answer 13 charges over a car crash that killed a Dandenong teen.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives charged the teen with theft, burglary, dangerous driving causing death, culpable driving and reckless conduct endangering life on Monday 7 November.
He was remanded to appear in a children’s court at a later date.
Detectives believe a stolen silver Kia carrying six people struck another vehicle on Narre Warren Cranbourne Road, Narre Warren South, about 7.30pm on Saturday 5 November.
Two males who were in the Kia were airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A 17-year-old Dandenong boy died in hospital about 8.45am on Sunday.
The other was on Monday identified as an 18-year-old Dandenong North man, who remained in a critical condition.
Police interviewed a 15-year-old Hampton Park girl and released her pending summons for motor vehicle theft.
They also released a 19-year-old Dandenong man pending summons for theft.
Police continue to search for an unknown man who fled the scene.
He is Caucasian in appearance, aged in his late teens and was possibly wearing a baseball cap.
Police are also keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or has information about those involved.
