THREE youths have been arrested following a police pursuit through the South-East suburbs on Thursday 24 November.
A Ford Territory that was stolen from Burwood around 22 November was spotted in Narre Warren at about 8.30pm on 24 November driving erratically.
The car was seen driving at speed head-on towards other cars with no headlights on and the wrong way on on-ramps around the Monash Freeway.
Police caught up with the vehicle on Maryn Close in Berwick where they deployed tyre deflation devices in an attempt to stop the car.
The vehicle evaded police and let them on a chase through Narre Warren, Beaconsfield, Berwick and Hampton Park.
During the chase, numerous police maintained surveillance on the car which was seen driving dangerously towards police and civilians.
Police were able to deflate the car’s tires at the intersection of Pound Road and Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road, where the pursuit came to an end.
A 19-year-old man from Berwick, a 21-year-old man from Berwick and a 15-year-old girl from Somerville were arrested and charged and will face court at a later date.
