Intruder in woman’s bedroom

By Victoria Stone-Meadows

A Hampton Park woman was woken in terrifying circumstances when a man who had broken into her house was leaning over the top of her in the middle of the night.
The woman woke to find the man in her bedroom about 2.30am on Sunday 5 February, and called out to her father.
The male offender left the house and fortunately the victim was unharmed.
Dandenong Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives believe the offender entered the house through an open front window.
The victim described the offender as in his mid-teens and spoke with an Australian accent.
Police have released a digital composite of the man’s face based on the description the victim gave and hope members of the public can come forward with information regarding him.
Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
