Kids in wagon driven on wrong side

By Victoria Stone-Meadows

Police are asking the public to keep an eye out for a champagne-coloured Holden Commodore wagon that was seen driving erratically with two small children on board in Berwick.
The car was sporting number plates stolen from Dandenong when it was seen on Park Hill Drive, Berwick, about 2.30pm on Monday 10 April.
The wagon was seen driving erratically and crossing onto the wrong side of the road, directly into oncoming traffic, narrowly avoiding a serious collision.
When police did manage to approach the car, they saw two young passengers in the back seat, both about five years old.
The driver is described as Caucasian, in his early thirties, wearing glasses and a black jumper.
Police decided that the risk to the children and the public was too great to pursue the vehicle and are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
