A Narre Warren woman is assisting police following an alleged armed robbery in Croydon.
Maroondah Crime Investigation Unit detectives alleged that a person wearing a head covering similar to a niqab or burqa entered a fast-food outlet in Main Street just after 5.30pm on Saturday 19 August.
They arrested a 38-year-old Frankston man and charged him with armed robbery and other related offences.
He was remanded in custody to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday 25 August.
A 21-year-old Narre Warren woman was assisting police with their inquiries.
Police have charged the pair over three other armed robberies committed on Monday at a fast-food outlet on Breed Street, Morwell, a service station in Morwell and a business in Traralgon.
