Bunjil hosts soaring sound

Casey Philharmonic Orchestra plays its second-ever concert since forming in May.

A new ensemble of Casey-Cardinia’s finest classical musicians is set to land at Bunjil Place.
The Casey Philharmonic Orchestra was formed in May to give professional and high-level musicians a chance to perform close to home.
Its Bunjil concert ‘A New Age, A New World’ will feature conductors Roy Theaker and Kent Ross, and soloist Anna Margolis.
The orchestra will play works by Sibelius, Mozart, Elgar and Dvorak.
It was exciting to see them bring “great music to life” in Casey, its president and founder Belinda Bolger said.
“I was so grateful to experience CPO’s first performance and be part of our new orchestral community.”
There is also anticipation among the ensemble about playing in the world-class venue at Bunjil Place for the first time.
The CPO has vacancies for dedicated musicians who can commit to four concerts a year.
The concert A New Age, A New World is at Bunjil Place on 9 December, 7pm.
