A Berwick man has had his car impounded after returning a high range blood alcohol test.
The 47-year-old man was intercepted by police on Springvale Road Nunawading about 3pm on Sunday, 4 February, for using his mobile phone.
His licence was found to be disqualified and he returned a positive breath test of 0.248.
His car was immediately impounded at a cost of $878.50 for 30 days.
He will be charged on summons for use mobile phone, drive whilst disqualified, use unsafe vehicle and drink driving.
