Driver clocked at 149km/h near road works

A man has been caught speeding at three times the limit near an active road works area in Narre Warren.
The 27-year-old Eumemmerring man was detected driving a maroon Ford Territory at 149 km/h in a 40km/h zone on Narre-Cranbourne Road about 10.20pm on 21 March.
Narre Warren police intercepted and immediately impounded the car.
The man is expected to be charged on summons for dangerous speed, exceeding the speed limit by 45km/h or more and careless driving.
