Fruit supply for the needy

SecondBite chief executive Jim Mullen and Montague IP and business development general manager Rowan Little seal the deal.

A Narre Warren North-based orchard will donate its surplus fruits to schools and charities as part of a five-year partnership with SecondBite.
Montague, a family-owned fresh-produce company with orchards across Australia, will supply SecondBite until 2023.
SecondBite redistributes the fruit to community groups such as The Salvation Army, Uniting Care and primary schools.
“As a family company, Montague is delighted to be part of this effort with SecondBite, providing apples for a valuable program that gives back to the communities in need”, Montague director Scott Montague said.

The agreement renews a partnership of more than eight years between the parties.
