Casey silent on ‘trolling’ claims

By Cam Lucadou-Wells

Casey Council are declining to comment on allegations that a councillor had ‘trolled’ a state political candidate’s Facebook page.

Cr Milla Gilic was accused of making persistent, repetitive comments under the pseudonym ‘Misa Frances Quinzel’ on 15 posts by Narre Warren South ALP candidate Gary Maas.

The Quinzel account had, at one stage, appeared to have used a profile picture of Cr Gilic.

Since Star News’s report, the account appears to be out of action.

Mr Maas reported the Quinzel comments to Facebook, leading to them being removed.

When asked if Casey was investigating the issue, a spokesman said: “This is a private matter. We won’t be offering any comment.”
