Liberal Nationals’ redevelopment goal for Narre Warren Football and Netball Club

An elected Liberal Nationals Government will contribute over $660,000 towards stage two of the redevelopment of Narre Warren Football and Netball Club.

Stage two of the upgrade will consist of asphalting the perimeter of the car park and the completion and fitout of first floor meeting and committee rooms.

Functions including presentation nights are held at other venues as the club cannot accommodate for all their members in the small rooms they currently have.

These new rooms will allow for more functions to socialise and network between both parents and players.

“Sporting clubs are the hub of any community,” liberal candidate for Narre Warren North Vikki Fitzgerald said.

“By providing Narre Warren Football and Netball Club the funding they deserve, all teams participating in the local league can benefit from using these upgrades, as they will provide a safe playing and working environment for players and club officials.

“If I’m elected as the member for Narre Warren North, I will continue to keep working hard and delivering positive results for my community.”

Unlike Daniel Andrews who has decided to give a massive $225 million of taxpayers’ money to the AFL to upgrade Etihad Stadium, the Liberal Nationals are getting behind cash-strapped local sporting clubs who desperately need our support.

“Vikki Fitzgerald has been doing extensive work with the local community to secure this upgrade for Narre Warren Football and Netball Club and has advocated strongly for this funding,” leader of the opposition Matthew Guy said.

“The Liberal Nationals won’t hand over millions of dollars to the AFL to spend on Etihad Stadium. Our goal will be to prioritise funding to our suburban and country sports clubs.”
