City of Casey supports new business

City of Casey Cr Rex Flannery officially opened the Shan-E Punjab Indian Restaurant in Berwick on Friday night, 24 August.

“It was an honour to be invited to the opening of The Shan-E Punjab Indian Restaurant nestled in the heart of Berwick, in Blackburn Square,” Cr Flannery said.

Owner Nirmal Singh said the City of Casey has a fantastic association with the Sikh community and this is why he wanted to open his restaurant in the City of Casey to share his cultural cuisine.

Members of the Sikh Games committee also attended the opening.

The Sikh Games will be held next Easter at Casey Fields bringing in over 40000 visitors from interstate and overseas to the City of Casey.
