Hampton Park man caught with drugs

A speeding driver intercepted in Officer was caught out with weapons and drugs in his vehicle on Saturday, 2 September.

Pakenham police spotted the Volkswagen Golf allegedly travelling at more than 150km/h along the Princes Highway just after midnight.

The car was intercepted, with police locating a firearm, conducted energy device and ammunition.

Quantities of amphetamine and cannabis were also seized.

A 26 year old man from Hampton Park was arrested at the scene.

He has been charged with prohibited person possess firearm and other weapon and drug-related offences, and was bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 1 November.
