A new scout hall could be built in Narre Warren South if the Labor Government is re-elected in the state election.
Scouts Victoria would manage and maintain the hall which will also be available for local activities and events such as dance classes, community theatre rehearsals, birthday parties and fitness classes.
Labor will provide $650,000 towards building a new hall for the Narre Warren South Scout Group with Scouts Victoria to match this funding with community partners.
Narre Warren South Scout Group has over 100 members who are set to benefit from a new permanent home.
“Building the new Narre Warren South Scout Hall is a win for the whole community,” Labor candidate for Narre Warren South Gary Maas said.
“It will not only help our young people, other community groups will be able to use these halls for other activities and events.”
