Reckless behaviour targeted

A man driving a black Ford Ute entered a breath testing site on Hallam Road in Hampton Park on Monday 5 November at 5pm and returned a positive preliminary breath test reading.

Further enquiries showed the man was currently unlicensed after a period of disqualification had expired.

Drivers who are unlicensed after a period of disqualification should be 0.00 BAC.

The driver returned a positive EBT reading of 0.044

His vehicle was impounded for 30 days. He’ll receive a summons to attend at court.

At approximately 5:20pm on Friday 2 November police intercepted a Holden Commodore on Princes Highway, Narre Warren.

The 32 year old man from Doveton had previously had his licence suspended after returned a positive oral fluid test.

The driver underwent another oral fluid test which again returned a positive result.

The driver’s vehicle was impounded for 30 days and he will be required to attend the Magistrates’ Court in relation to driving while unlicensed and drug driving.

At approximately 6:47pm on Friday 2 November police intercepted a Subaru Forester on Verona Drive, Hampton Park.

The 33 year old man from Cranbourne West had previously had his licence disqualified for drink driving.

The driver underwent an oral fluid test which returned a positive result.

The driver’s vehicle was impounded for 30 days and he will be required to attend court in relation to drug driving and unlicensed driving.

At approximately 10:24am on Saturday 3 November police intercepted a Nissan Xtrail on South Gippsland Highway, Devon Meadows after it was detected travelling at 104km/h in an 80 zone.

The 29 year old man from Cranbourne West had previously had his licence suspended for six months due to speeding.

The driver’s vehicle was impounded for 30 days and the driver will be required to attend court in relation to charges of drive while suspended and speeding.

A 26 year old Berwick man was intercepted by police who found his licence to be disqualified for a month two weeks earlier.

The Volkswagen GTI was intercepted at 12.45am on Tuesday 6 November on Gladstone Road in Dandenong.

His vehicle will be impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1038 and driver will be summonsed to attend court in relation to drive while disqualified.
