Berwick student recognised with Fred Hollows award

Isaac Khan, of Berwick Fields Primary School has been recognised for his compassion, integrity and kindness at a ceremony for the Fred Hollows Humanity Award at Melbourne Town Hall on Monday 12 November.

Isaac was nominated for his perseverance and compassion for other students’ welfare.

“Although Isaac faces greater challenges than his peers he demonstrates amazing persistence and a positive mindset that enables him to achieve strong personal growth,” teachers Petrina Blackmore said.

Fred Hollows Foundation chairman John Brumby said the award highlights inspirational students making a positive difference in their communities.
