Armed robbery investigation continues

An armed robbery occurred outside the entrance to the cinemas at Fountain Gate Shopping Centre on 5 January at around 4:20pm.

Two victims had their phones and other items stolen.

The offenders, who were wearing a blue and white Toronto Maple Leaf hockey jersey and the other a blue Barcelona Football Club Nike jacket, walked from Fountain Gate to Narre Warren Railway Station at around 5:10pm where they were arrested by PSOs and the stolen items were recovered.

The alleged offenders, a 17 year old boy of no fixed place of abode was remanded and has since been placed on a good behaviour bond for 12 months, the other alleged offender, an 18 year old man from Clyde North will have his matter heard at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court in April.

While the alleged offenders have been arrested and charged, police are still appealing to the public for anyone else who witnessed the incident or has any information to come forward.
