Narre Warren’s Emma Logie, 10, had her long hair cut off on Friday, January 24, to raise money for various charities.

The money raised is going towards Bk2basics Melbourne, Headspace and Challenge.

Further, 12 inches of her hair was donated towards making wigs for cancer patients. Emma’s mother, Sarah Logie, also cut off 10 inches of hair.

Ms Logie donated her hair towards Sustainable Salons, an organisation designed to collect, repurpose and redistribute resources.

To date, Emma has raised $630 via her Gofundme profile.

Emma and her friend Kirsten held a stall at the Pakenham Night Market, to sell raffle tickets and lollies, which raised a further $185.

“I am extremely proud of my daughter for genuinely wanting to help others,” Ms Logie said.

“Please help Emma in paying it forward and wanting to put her beautiful hair towards a good cause.”
