Gender equality moves forward in Casey

Expressions of interest are now open to join City of Casey’s Gender Equality Working Group to assist in making Casey a safer city.

The working group is being formed to gather essential feedback from the community, while assessing how safe Casey is for women and children.

Feedback collected from the working group will be used to inform a set of guidelines that council will use for future planning and development.

Group members will attend two to three site visits and use a newly developed audit tool to assess how safe Casey is.

Participants will also be part of discussions about the audit tool and invited to share their ideas on safety and participation improvements for women and children.

Interested community members can find more information or register for the group on City of Casey’s ‘Casey Conversations’ page.

Applications are open until Friday 8 March.
