Manhunt for robbers

Police are searching for two men after they allegedly held up a mini mart in Narre Warren on Wednesday 13 March.

Police have been told the men, perceived to be Caucasian, entered the Anaconda Road store just before 7am on Wednesday 13 March.

Detective Senior Constable Daniel Jacobi of Casey Crime Investigation Unit said one man jumped the counter and kicked a staff member to the side of the face.

“The staff member ran to the back of the store and called police,” he said.

“The males, who were wearing gloves and had their faces covered, stole cigarettes and cash from the register which they repeatedly threw to the ground to open.”

They left in a late model grey Mercedes.

The male staff member was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Staff from the mini mart declined to comment on the incident.

Casey Crime Investigation Unit is investigating.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
