Police release CCTV following robbery

Police are investigating a robbery whereby a female bandit allegedly punched a woman to the face after making demands for her handbag in Narre Warren on Monday 18 March.

Casey Crime Investigation Unit is investigating the incident in which two victims were followed by a group of 10 to 15 young people after leaving a shopping centre about 6.30pm.

After a short amount of time police say a man snatched a headband from the victim’s head and short struggle took place.

A female offender then approached another victim and made demands for her handbag before punching her to the face, police allege.

Police have identified and spoken to the female offender, however, are still hoping to identify the other people involved.

Police have released CCTV still images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or www.crimestoppersvic.com.au and quote incident number 19010072.
