Star Search calling on talented locals

The annual round of Star Search’s vocal competition is hitting Cranbourne and talent singers of all ages are being asked to showcase their talent will all proceeds raised aiding cancer research.

Auditions for the show will be held on Saturday 25 May at The Factory Rehearsal Centre in Cranbourne with further auditions being held on June 2 at Hillcrest Christian College in Clyde North. The registration fee for all performers is $15 with solo acts, as well as duo and trio welcomed.

The event not only provides a friendly and supportive platform for all performers to gain experience and exposure, but also supports victims of cancer. In the past two years $10,000 has been donated by ‘Star Search for a Cause’ toward brain cancer research at the Olivia Newton John Cancer Research Centre.

Many successful vocalists have graced the stage in previous years with finalists singing on The Voice, X-Factor and playing lead roles in musicals. Grand finalists will be granted performance opportunities at many community events throughout the year gaining great talent exposure.
