Do you know a hard-working volunteer who is making a positive impact on our local community?
The City of Casey has opened nominations for the 2019 Casey Volunteer Awards and is calling on you to nominate a person, group or organisation that you believe deserves recognition for their contributions.
Nominations are open until 3pm on Monday 3 June and can be made in the following categories:
• Casey individual volunteer award
• Casey young volunteer award
• Casey volunteering pair award
• Casey volunteer group award
• Casey volunteer organisation award
The volunteer awards are one of Council’s most prestigious award programs and acknowledge people who have contributed to and make the Casey community a better place.
City of Casey Mayor Cr Amanda Stapledon encouraged community members to consider a Casey resident, group or organisation that deserve to be recognised.
“The Casey Volunteer Awards are an opportunity for us to recognise our volunteers who invest so many tireless hours for the benefit of our community,” Cr Stapledon said.
“Maybe it’s your neighbour that has been involved with their local CFA for many years, or a community group that continue to have a profound impact on the people who they assist.
“In the City of Casey, we’re very lucky to have a large number of volunteers who are dedicated to making where we live, work or play a better place.
