Arrest after drive-by shooting

Police have arrested a third man as part of the investigation in which a Narre Warren South man was gunned down outside a Prahran nightclub in April.

Security guard Aaron Khalid Osmani, 37, died in hospital on Sunday 14 April after being sprayed with bullets in the drive-by shooting outside Love Machine nightclub.

His sudden death shocked friends and family who described him as a “kind, funny and easy going guy.”

A 22-year-old Preston man was arrested about 6.55am in Preston on Wednesday 3 July.

He has been charged with two counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder.

The man will face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.

A 25-year-old Epping man was arrested last Saturday and an 18-year-old Bundoora man was arrested on Monday as part of the investigation.

Both have been charged with a number of offences in relation to the shooting and have been remanded in custody.

Two people were killed during the incident on 14 April and another four people were injured.

The investigation remains ongoing.
