Police investigate stabbing

Emergency services have been called to reports of a stabbing in Hampton Park on Friday morning, 18 July.

Investigators have been told a man was stabbed in the upper body at around 6.30am on Regan Street.

The man, believed to be in his early forties, has been taken to hospital The Alfred hospital in a stable condition with non-life threatening injuries, Ambulance Victoria said.

Police are investigating. Anyone who witnessed the assault or has information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
