The Berwick Toy Library is now able to host a free play-based workshop as part of Children’s Week after receiving a grant from the State Government.
Narre Warren North MP Luke Donnellan recently announced that Berwick Toy Library was among 118 organisations to receive a grant.
Berwick Toy library will be hosting a workshop at Timbarra Community Centre in Berwick on Saturday 19 October from 9.30am until 11.30am, where children and their families can learn how to encourage fine motor skill development through play in children aged one to six.
Children’s Week will run from Saturday 19 October until Sunday 27 October to recognise the talents, skills, achievements and rights of children by offering free activities for Victorian families with children under 12.
The State Government provided grants to not-for-profit organisations and councils across the state to help cover costs associated with running an event such as hiring entertainment, purchasing craft materials, providing food and children’s prizes.
