A car became airborne and plummeted into a front bedroom of a home in Narre Warren on Wednesday 16 October.

The incident, which occurred at the corner of Sinners Ave and Kurrajong Rd at 3.30pm, left the house extensively damaged.

Narre Warren State Emergency Service, police, ambulance, and firefighters from Hallam CFA attended the scene.

An SES spokeswoman said it’s believed the elderly woman driver lost control of her Volkswagen Golf after a bag became stuck under her brake pedal.

SES volunteers installed acrow props to hold up the house’s structure in place as well tarping the damaged room.

Amubulance Victoria spokesman Jamie First said paramedics treated a woman in her 70s although she was not taken to hospital.

In a separate incident three days earlier, a young couple woke in shock when a car ploughed into their Berwick home.
