Pair arrested in motel drug raid

Police have allegedly seized traffickable amounts of drugs, firearms and a stolen car with false plates from a Hallam motel on Saturday 11 April.

A man and woman were arrested during a police raid of the Princes Highway motel room about 10am.

The officers seized two firearms, ammunition, suspected stolen goods, cash as well as what was believed to be methamphetamine and GHB from the room and the car.

Casey CIU detectives charged a 30-year-old Frankston man with trafficking methamphetamine and GHB, car theft, handling stolen goods, firearms and ammunition offences and committing an indictable offence on bail.

He was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 12 April.

A 21-year-old Yarra Glen woman was charged with drug possession.

She was bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 6 July.
