Someone who bought a winning lottery ticket in Narre Warren South could be sitting on $23 million in prize money and not even know it yet.
The mystery player held the only division one winning entry across Australia in Powerball draw 1249, drawn Thursday 23 April, scoring the division one prize of $23,686,120.08.
The winning Powerball entry was purchased at Casey News and Lotto, Shop 156, Casey Central Shopping Centre, Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road, Narre Warren South.
The multi-million-dollar winning entry was not registered to a Tatts Card, which means officials from the Lott have no way of contacting the winner to break the incredible news.
The mystery winner is Australia’s third Powerball division one winner for 2020.
Casey News and Lotto owners Austin D’Souza said he hoped their winner checked their ticket soon.
“I saw a message late last night that we had sold the winning entry. It’s very exciting,” he said.
“This is our second division one win and definitely the biggest one. We sold a division one winning entry a few years ago but it’s been a long time between drinks, so it’s wonderful to see another win in our outlet.
“I’m sure everyone will be coming in today to check their tickets hoping they’re the winner.”
The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said the winner might have woken up this morning and be going about their day oblivious to the fact they’re now a multi-millionaire.

The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1249 on Thursday 23 April 2020 were 32, 35, 3, 18, 7, 6 and 14. The all-important Powerball number was 2.
