A ‘dam’ fine rescue

An unfortunate equine required a hand from our emergency services after getting stuck in a dam in Narre Warren North.

On Wednesday 3 March, four FRV firefighters and two CFA crews headed to the incident on Heatherton Road, responding to a request for assistance from the SES.

A FRV spokesperson said that FRV and CFA crews worked to free the horse using specialist rescue equipment.

The steed was freed just after 11.00am.
