It seems Covid testing sites are the latest casualty of Victoria’s wild weather.

Nineteen testing sites across Melbourne were temporarily closed this morning, apparently as a result of the strong winds and heavy rain.

Monash Health testing sites at Casey Fields in Cranbourne East, Carroll Lane in Dandenong and IYU Reserve in Pakenham were among the closed locations.

The EACH sites on Belgrave-Gembrook Road, Emerald, in Yarra Junction and in Lilydale were also suspended due to power outages.

EACH confirmed that its Ringwood and Ferntree Gully sites are still open for residents around those areas, while those in the south east can visit the Akoonah Park site at Berwick.

Monash Health has been contacted for comment.
